“Anticipating the Future” Will be the Debut of the Atomik 500
Fiat/Chrysler has still give no word on their plans of producing an electric version to the market of their famous 500, another manufacturer seems to be taking over to ensure consumers will be able to feast their eyes on a much meaner and cleaner vehicle.
Atomik Cars is a manufacturer that has taken the steps to ‘soup up’ this popular vehicle and add a ‘little extra’ technology of their own. At the 2010 Top Marques Monaco that will be held in April, this new company will be delighting consumers with their powerful wonder. It looks as if they may have succeeded in creating a zero emission automobile that also provides the driver with the performance of a supercar that is featured in the package of a city car.
The performance of this vehicle is superb, reaching the speed of 60 miles per hour in as little as 5.6 seconds. This can be attributed to the AC brushless synchronous motors that the Atomik 500 features, which is much the same as the power that is found in a 300 horsepower engine. Other features of the vehicle include a “Peltier A/C module w/o gas” for cooling passengers in the car, and for heating – a ceramic heating system. It also features a charging system of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries.
