Walk-In Vans to be powered with Tesla’s Lithium Ion Batteries At the National Truck Equipment Association Work Truck Show of 2010, a subsidiary of Tesla Motors, Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, which is more commonly known as FCCC debuted a walk-in-van (WIV) chassis that is all electric, and was developed along with Enova Systems. The MT-45 WIV chassis platform of FCCC was used for the development of the all-electric chassis. The chassis model is the only one of its kind, being the first to be engineered domestically in North America, and the first chassis that has been developed in the industry that is completely all-electric and it includes the HVAC system as well.
