Electric bike to be built in China soaoner

The green world environment calls for steady manufacturing of green items and that comes as a pure thought when automotive manufacturers of today are inventing new tools to get going green with electric vehicles. The news is that Zap Alias is soon going to be manufactured in Jonway in China. The electric trike zap is a product from Santa Rosa California. The firm has plans for expansion with Chinese automaker Zhejiang Jonway automobile company limited to manufacture its trikes named as Alias electric bike.

The new Alias electric bike runs on batteries and is a two seater vehicle that the company had been planning and inventing for several years now. The recent years have seen lots of development in the biking industry with lots of options available today. At once there was a time, when Zap was planning to build its Alias plant at Kentucky but due to the lack of funding, the venture could not be completed and enough investors did not put money in to the venture. The production of the new electric trike will start in Chinese market first and then gradually expand globally.

The new Alias Bike had even entered into an Automotive X-Prize competition that kicked off in Michigan last month. According to the officials at Zap, the new Alias trike can cover the distance of over 100 miles with a charging of lithium ion batteries and the new bike would be charged at $35,000 in the United States. The testing of the new bike started at Michigan international speedway. There were over all 27 other teams competing against each other for price money of $10 million.
